At Remarkable People, community isn’t just something we talk about — it’s something we actively show up for.
In 2025, our team across Aotearoa took part in a range of community initiatives that reflect our values of connection, care and doing good mahi where it matters most.
From environmental projects to supporting local charities and families, here’s a look at some of the ways we’ve been proud to give back this year.
Supporting Our Local Environment
Queenstown Trails – Frankton Track
Our Queenstown team spent a day volunteering with Queenstown Trails, walking the Frankton Track and chatting with members of the local community. The goal? Gathering signatures to support funding for the Trust, helping ensure these well-loved trails remain safe, accessible and well maintained for everyone.
It was a great opportunity to connect with locals, learn more about the work behind the scenes, and contribute to something that benefits both residents and visitors alike.
Wakatipu Industry Tree Planting Day
We also joined other local businesses for the Wakatipu Industry Tree Planting Day organised by Whakatipu Reforestation Trust, getting our hands dirty planting trees and native plants around the region. This initiative supports environmental restoration and helps protect the natural landscape that makes the Wakatipu Basin such a special place to live and work.

Giving Back to Those Who Need It Most
SPCA Fill a Bucket Appeal
As part of the SPCA Fill a Bucket Appeal, our National Talent Coordinator, Dani, hit the streets to collect donations for animals in need. Every dollar raised helps the SPCA continue their vital work caring for vulnerable animals across New Zealand — and we were proud to support a cause so close to many hearts.
Good Bitches Baking
Sometimes the simplest gestures can have the biggest impact. Through Good Bitches Baking, our team baked sweet treats that were donated to their local centre, where volunteers deliver them to people going through a tough time. It was a meaningful reminder that kindness, baked with care, can truly brighten someone’s day.
Queenstown Community Cats
We also volunteered with Queenstown Community Cats, spending the day learning about their incredible work supporting stray and abandoned cats. Getting an inside look at what they do reinforced just how important community-led initiatives are — and how much dedication goes into making a real difference.

Spreading Joy at Christmas
Christmas Toy Donation
In the lead-up to Christmas, we donated 50 toys, through the Kindness Collective, to families who may struggle to provide gifts for their children during the festive season. Being able to help create a bit of Christmas magic for children and their whānau was a highlight for our team and a cause we’re incredibly proud to support.
Looking Ahead
Each of these initiatives reflects what Remarkable People stands for — showing up, lending a hand, and staying connected to the communities we work within. We’re grateful to every organisation that welcomed us in 2025, and to our team members who generously gave their time, energy and heart.
We look forward to continuing this mahi in the years ahead, because when communities thrive, we all do.
